We’re excited to announce the latest addition to our Attorney staff, Caitlyn Scofield.  She’s a recent law graduate and we’re happy she’s kicking off her law career with us at MMH.  Lets meet her!

Where did you grow up?

Demorest Georgia and Charleston South Carolina. I went to boarding school at Rabun Gap Nacoochee for high school.

Where did you go to school?

I graduated from UGA in 2012 with a degree in Psychology and again in 2013 with a degree in Political Science

Tell us a little more about your law career.

When I went into law school I was unsure what area of law I wanted to practice in, so I decided to gain experience in different fields by working in several different firms. In my 1L summer, I worked at the Fulton County Superior court under Judge Kimberly Esmond Adams and the Family Law firm of Browning and Smith. After that, I worked at Raymond Giudice, P.C., a Personal Injury, D.U.I. and Criminal Defense firm while also working at  H.L.R. Law a property tax firm. While working at HLR Law, I met Charlie at a Keller Williams meeting. During my last year at school, I started taking a real estate transactions case, found it interesting and asked Charlie if he would let me shadow him. After a day of closings at the Intown and Buckhead offices of MMH I knew this was what I wanted to do and where I wanted to work. The people were friendly and welcoming, the work was intriguing and the opportunity to help people take an often new and exciting step in their lives appealed to me.

What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?

Outside the office I like to go to the gym, cook with my boyfriend Michael and often go up to the North Georgia mountains to go hiking and see my mom Courtney, step-dad Felix, and grandmother Haydee.  I love to read especially detective novels and classic literature. I often go to the Fox to see musicals. My family is very involved with the theater and my little sister is in New York city going to school for Broadway.

We’re so happy to have you with us, Caitlyn!  Welcome to the MMH Family!
